The International Guest House (IGH) is the one of the two Guest Houses of the University of Delhi. The Guest House is Convently Located on the University Road, opposite to the Faculty of Music (Sir Shankar Lal Hall) Building. The Guest House is around 300 metres away from the Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station situated on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. The Guest House became operational in October 2004 and since, then it has become a popular choice of stay for the National and International Guests visited/invited to the University of Delhi for various academic purposes. International Guest House known for its special hospitality, and has been welcoming guests since October-2004.
The International Guest House located in the North Campus of the University of Delhi. It is just a short stroll away from the main gate (Gate No.1) of the University of Delhi.
The entry to the International Guest House are flanked by green lawns. All the rooms in the International Guest House are equipped with double beds and with all the necessary amenities like (telephone, Wi-Fi, small refrigerator, geyser and cable connection with LCD TV).
The International Guest House provide boarding and lodging facilities for the invited guests of the University and its affiliated bodies, newly appointed faculty, staff members of the University, delegates and participants attending various Conferences, Seminars, Symposia and Workshops organised by University of Delhi and its affiliated bodies for short duration. The dining hall of the International Guest House provide catering facilities for in-house guests and Also, depending upon the need & availability, sometimes the outdoor catering services are also been provided to University Departments, Centres and Administrative Units by the International Guest House on specific locations.
The International Guest House is managed by the University of Delhi through a Management Committee, headed by the Chairperson and other members, appointed by the University. The International Guest House supports the academic/non-academic activities within the campus with a homely atmosphere and ambiance traditionally acclaimed for its environs of hygiene and food of homely relish and richness.
